This illustration mural series explores the different nationalities living in Vienna and the cultural layers they bring to the city. Each piece focuses on one community, translated into a visual narrative through symbols, colors, and character-driven scenes.
Alongside immigrant communities, the series also includes a mural dedicated to Austrians —acknowledging them as the social and cultural foundation of the city we live in today.
As a Hungarian living in Vienna, this project is also personal. It reflects my own experience of being part of the city’s multicultural everyday life.
The goal of the series is not to create stereotypes, but to highlight presence — how these cultures shape everyday life in Vienna.
The murals are designed as standalone illustrations, while also working together as a cohesive series through a consistent visual language.
